We are cleared for entry.

After leaving Schiphol at 13:00 CET and doing a 9,5 hour flight, we landed at Chicago ohare at 14:15 local time. It was a decent flight, as far as flights go. It’s always a bit cramped but the company was fine. The stewardess Suus met was a star, they had an instant click. At the end of the flight Suus has gotten an nice bracelet with a hand written note.

We cleared customs after having our fingerprints taken. At least we thought, but Suus got a nice big X on her entry ticket and we had to go to the clearance officer. Again they took a set of prints.....

It was just a case of first time entry on her new passport. All travellers on a new document have to have their prints taken again.... pfieuwwww.....

After a short drive with the shuttle bus, of which the driver thought he was Emmerson Fitipaldi in the Indy 500 and swirled his way through the evening traffic while abusing his horn as if it was a punching bag, we are now at the hotel. Just for 1 night. 

Tomorrow it is finally time to pickup the RV!!!!!
